加拿大商科研究生GMAT語法比較對象問題解析

加拿大商科研究生考試，我們知道GMAT中涉及到比較的題目是很多的，也是很多同學(xué)容易做錯的題目，今天我們就來講講比較中涉及到比較對象的問題。加拿大商科研究生

1.比較對象概念對等

人、事、物對比人、事、物，可能比較特征、性質(zhì)、行為、數(shù)量等

例句

I ate more apples than Tom was.

這個句子很明顯就是錯的，把“做了什么”和“是什么”做了對比

我們可以改為：

I ate more apples than Tom(did).

I ate more apples than did Tom.

這兩個句子都是對的

2.發(fā)現(xiàn)比較的標(biāo)志詞，找到比較對象

like，unlike,as,

形容詞／副詞的比較級+than

compared to/with,in contrast to/with+具體化名詞，on the contrary,opposite to/of,

as/so…as

be overshadowed by,be different from

3.替代原則

與比較對象重復(fù)的不可數(shù)名詞或者單數(shù)名詞，用that代替；

與比較對象重復(fù)的復(fù)數(shù)名詞形式，用those代替

我們來看一個例句

野生動物wild animals的總脂肪比牲畜livestock的總脂肪少。此句話對比的是總脂肪，所以應(yīng)該是：

The total fat of wild animals is less than that of livestock.

不像小蜜蜂的巢，大黃蜂的巢有很多裝飾物。

Unlike those of honeybees,the nests of yellow jackets have many decorations.

此題的對比對象就是兩類巢

Unlike those of honeybees,the nests of yellow jackets have many decorations.

此題正確答案是C，對比對象是海象的眼睛和其他動物的眼睛，a和b選項對比對象不一致；d選項中they代指的是主句中的主語the eyes，對比對象還是不一致；e選項前半部分是對的，后面的it allows them有問題，首先it不能代指前面一句話的內(nèi)容，其次them錯誤，本意上指的是the elephant seal

3.A group of paleontologists recently announced that a site in Utah has yielded fossils of some of the biggest armored dinosaurs ever found,and they are at least 25 million years older than those of any similar dinosaur type that previously was found in North America.

首先從句意上要搞清楚的是相似類型的恐龍化石在北美被發(fā)現(xiàn)，而不是恐龍在北美被發(fā)現(xiàn)，所以比較對象是Utah的恐龍化石和之前在北美被發(fā)現(xiàn)的相似類型的恐龍化石,根據(jù)比較對象不一致，排除BCE,還剩下A和D,A選項中的they有指代歧義，并且后面的was一定是錯的，因為that代指的是those。GMAT語法

比較對象一致是涉及到比較的題目首先要考慮到的點，這并不是很難的點，只需要我們做題的時候多加留意就可以了。
