加拿大留學(xué)托?？荚?，非母語寫作很多時候=做（顱內(nèi)）翻譯。翻譯水平越高，我們的思想就能越不打折扣地傳遞給接收者。但是在語言水平有限的情況下，就會鬧出一些笑話而不自知。比如“有聲讀物”在同學(xué)們筆下會變成sound book（幫助小孩識別聲音的書），而本來我們尋找的是“audio book”。加拿大托福

所以就會出現(xiàn)明明思路沒問題（甚至很精彩），分數(shù)卻遲遲提不上去。原因很簡單。想象中的文章是栩栩如生有血有肉，考官看到的卻是奇奇怪怪（甚至有些inappropriate）的四不像。

好在，鑒于大部分同學(xué)們的主動語料庫并不是很大，可以犯錯的空間也是有限的，并且很多錯誤是常見的。如果經(jīng)?？偨Y(jié)，可以有效地減少文章的錯誤提高從而language use板塊的得分。經(jīng)過整理，我們會發(fā)現(xiàn)，常錯單詞本身并不難（都認識），難的是用對。

“the”的過度使用

錯誤：First,accepting the criticism helps people improve their weaknesses,which makes them better in the group work.

正確：First,accepting criticism helps people improve their weaknesses,which makes them better in group work.

錯誤：Firstly,creating jobs for unemployed workers reduces the crime rate.To be specific,the government can offer some jobs such as carrying the block and building the infrastructures for the workers.

正確：Firstly,creating jobs for unemployed workers reduces crime rate.To be specific,the government can offer some jobs such as carrying blocks and building infrastructure for workers.

解析：上面的兩個例子都是從同學(xué)們的作業(yè)當(dāng)中摘抄的，在你作業(yè)中見過無數(shù)的例子不該用the的時候用了the。冠詞的使用一直是中國學(xué)生的一大難點，即便是對于advanced learner來說，也經(jīng)常會犯錯。但是，記住一些基本的規(guī)則還是能夠避免大多數(shù)的錯誤。The的使用主要三種情況：特指，固定搭配，專有名詞。如果不屬于這三種，就大膽放棄。

interested/interest/interesting

“感興趣的科目”

錯誤：interested subjects

正確：subjects we are interested in/subjects that interest us

解析：interested邏輯主語是“人”。中文“感興趣的東西”，可以用interest的動詞形式：sth.interests me。

affordable

“我能買得起這輛車。”

錯誤：I am affordable the car.

正確：This car is affordable for me.

正確：I can afford this car.

解析：affordable本身含義包含了被動-“able to be afforded”，所以只能用來跟隨可以被購買的物品，所以”I am affordable”就是把自己當(dāng)成了商品……

accessible

錯誤：And children are more accessible to education.

正確：Education is more accessible for children./Children can access education more easily.

解析：這兩個詞的意思都是“容易接近的，容易獲得的”，與affordable類似，用來修飾可以獲得的東西。

Prefer

錯誤：Specifically,everyone prefers to contact open-minded and easy-going teammates.

正確：Specifically,everyone likes to contact open-minded and easy-going teammates.

解析：例句中把Prefer當(dāng)作“喜歡”來使用。Prefer的字典釋義里的確有“like”的意思，但是是有比較級的--“to like better or best”。當(dāng)有上下文的時候，對比另一方可以省略。當(dāng)時單獨表示“喜歡”不能使用。

Lead to

錯誤：Some people who receive criticism would not like to change themselves,which leads people who give suggestions to be upset.

正確：Some people who receive criticism would not like to change themselves,which makes people who give suggestions upset.

解析：lead to當(dāng)中的to是介詞，所以不能跟“to do”（雖然按照中文翻譯-“讓某人生氣”-很順滑）。

because of vs because

錯誤：Because children are fast learners.

正確：This is because children are fast learners.

解析：Because不能單獨引導(dǎo)句子，只能引導(dǎo)從句。

錯誤：We canceled our date because of the weather was terrible.

正確：We canceled our date because the weather was terrible.OR We canceled our date because of the terrible weather.

解析：because of后面不能跟句子。托福寫作

Easy

“他們很容易找到工作”

錯誤：They are easy to find jobs.

正確：They can find jobs easily.

解析：”容易”修飾的是“找工作”這個動作而非“人”。同理，hard，difficult等詞同學(xué)們經(jīng)常會出現(xiàn)修飾錯位，錯因是做了點對點的翻譯而忽略了英文固有的規(guī)則。
